The Samsung Galaxy A06 launched In August 2024

The Samsung Galaxy A06 was quietly launched in August 2024, positioning itself as a budget-friendly option with only minor upgrades over its predecessor, the Galaxy A05. The Galaxy A06 features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with an improved 90Hz refresh rate, maintaining the same MediaTek Helio G85 processor as the A05. It is available in two configurations: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.

The camera setup also remains unchanged, featuring a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera, along with an 8MP front camera for selfies. The device runs on Android 14 out of the box and includes a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support, although the in-box charger may only provide 15W.

Design-wise, the A06 introduces the “Key Island” aesthetic, which houses the volume rocker and fingerprint sensor on a protrusion along the right frame. The phone lacks 5G support, relying instead on 4G LTE, and offers other connectivity options like dual-band Wi-Fi AC.

The Galaxy A06 was first launched in Vietnam with a starting price of around $127.
