Vivo is preparing to launch the X200 Ultra and X200s on April 21, and as we get closer to the date, leaks around the X200s are starting to surface more frequently. Based on what’s out now, the X200s seems to be a lighter upgrade over the standard X200, which launched back in October.
From what I’ve seen, the X200s is expected to run on MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400+ chip. That processor is scheduled to be revealed officially on April 11, so there’s still some waiting to do before we get all the technical details on that front.
In terms of display, the phone will reportedly feature a 6.67-inch flat screen with what Vivo calls a “1.5K” resolution. The camera setup is another area of interest—it’s said to include three lenses on the back: a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. That periscope lens is expected to use Sony’s Lytia LYT-600 sensor.
Battery life also looks promising on paper. The X200s will supposedly pack a 6,200mAh battery and support 90W fast wired charging along with 40W wireless charging. That’s a solid combination, especially for a phone in this segment.
It’s also worth noting that Vivo is including an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, plus IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. That’s not something you see on every phone, and it suggests Vivo is serious about durability.
The color options, according to Vivo’s official images, will include black, white, Soft Purple, and Mint Green. Personally, I think the Soft Purple stands out the most—it’s subtle but different.
We’ll know everything for sure once the phone launches later this month. But from what’s been leaked so far, the X200s looks like a balanced device that builds modestly on the X200 without trying to do too much.
