Recently, rumors about Vivo’s newest entry-level phone, the Y02s, started to appear. A reliable tipster named Sudhanshu Ambhore shared a tweet showing the full specs and pictures of the Vivo phone. Here’s a breakdown of what the phone has:
The Vivo Y01’s little brother looks quite nice for its price. The back of the phone is made of matte plastic and has a shiny camera area. The Y02s is light, weighing only 183g, and measures 163.95 x 75.55 x 8.19mm. The two ring-shaped parts on the back might make you think there are two cameras, but there’s only one 8MP f/2.0 main camera. The second ring is for an LED flash.
According to the FCC listing, the upcoming Vivo phone with the model number V2203 will be called the Vivo Y02s. The listing says that the smartphone will work with GPRS, EGPRS, VoLTE, and WCDMA networks. The phone will also have Bluetooth and dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz + 5GHz). The device will support two SIM cards.
A 6.51’’ 720p IPS LCD panel on the front acts as the display with a dew-drop notch up top. The Y02s houses a 5MP f/2.2 camera for selfies and video conferencing and also comes with AI beautification enhancements. Thick bezels and a wide chin surround the screen.
The new Vivo budget smartphone Y02s uses an old MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, paired with 3GB RAM (and 32GB of internal storage). It runs Android 12 with FunTouch OS 12 as the top. The Y02s are powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. It can be charged with the included charger at 10W.
The handset also supports Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, GPS, FM Radio, an audio jack, a Type-C port for connectivity, and full dual SIM support with a dedicated MicroSD slot. The pricing is still unconfirmed; however, the Vivo Y02s could arrive at around $113 or PKR 27,999. It will be available in Flourite Black and Vibrant Blue paint jobs.
