Xiaomi is set to launch the 15 and 15 Pro soon, but the 15 Ultra is expected to follow in February. Despite the wait, we’ve already seen some leaked renders of the Ultra, and its design is unique. The camera layout, in particular, stands out and might not sit well with fans of more symmetrical designs.
The camera bump is circular, which is typical for the Ultra line, but the lens arrangement is asymmetrical. According to the leaks, the top lens is a 200 MP 4.3x zoom periscope telephoto using Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9 sensor. Below that, there are three 50 MP lenses for the main, ultrawide, and 2x telephoto shots. On the front, you’ll find a 32 MP camera for selfies.
As for the rest of the phone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumored to have a 6.7-inch 120 Hz LTPO OLED display with micro-quad-curved edges. The upcoming device is anticipated to be equipped with the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with a robust 6,000mAh battery and advanced charging capabilities, including 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. The Ultra is also set to launch with HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15.
The camera design will likely spark some debate, but the specs suggest that Xiaomi is still aiming for a powerhouse device. We’ll have to wait and see how it all comes together when it launches.
