The Xiaomi Pad 7, which debuted in China alongside the Pad 7 Pro back in October, seems to be gearing up for an international launch—at least for the standard model. The clearest sign of this comes from a recent Geekbench 6.3 listing, where an Indian version of the Pad 7 was spotted. If it’s heading to India, it’s a safe bet we’ll see it in other global markets too.

The Geekbench results show the Indian Pad 7 powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, a chipset widely regarded as one of the best for mid-range devices. It managed scores of 1,877 for single-core performance and 5,106 for multi-core, which is impressive for its class. The tested unit had 12GB of RAM and ran Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS layered on top.

From the looks of it, the Indian version will likely match its Chinese counterpart in specs. If that holds true, we can expect it to feature an 11.2-inch LCD display with a 2136×3200 resolution, a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits peak brightness. Other highlights would include storage options of 128GB or 256GB, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a robust 8,850mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.

I’m optimistic about the Pad 7’s global release, especially if Xiaomi sticks to the same formula. A high-refresh-rate screen, solid chipset, and fast charging could make this an appealing choice for those looking for a feature-packed tablet without breaking the bank.
