Redmi already sells the standard Note 17 in India. The two bigger models were missing, and they’re skipping next week’s global launch as well. Now a launch date has surfaced for them, along with a price warning nobody wanted.

The India launch is set for September 15
Smartprix reports, citing tipster Yogesh Brar, that Redmi will unveil both the Note 17 Pro and the Note 17 Pro Max in India on September 15. That’s about three weeks out, so official teasers should start appearing within days.
Both phones will cost at least INR 8,000 more than the models they replace
The leak puts the increase at a minimum of INR 8,000, roughly $83, over last year’s equivalents. No final figures yet. For a series built on being the sensible buy, that’s a big jump, and it follows the same pattern as the regular Note 17, which also came in higher than the Note 15 did in January. Memory prices have been climbing all year and every brand is passing that on.
The Pro Max is the one with the 10,000 mAh battery

It gets a 10,000 mAh cell with 100W wired charging, a 6.8-inch OLED at 120Hz, and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip. Cameras are a 50MP main and a 32MP selfie. Ten thousand milliamp hours in a mid-range phone is unusual enough that it will probably carry the whole marketing campaign.
The regular Pro drops to 9,000 mAh and slower charging

Reports give the Pro a 9,000 mAh battery with 67W charging and the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, matching the Chinese version. Same 6.8-inch 120Hz OLED and the same camera pair as its bigger sibling.
Software support runs four OS upgrades and six years of security patches
Both models are expected to carry that commitment. Worth noting because it applies to the phones equally, whichever one you pick.
Nothing here is official yet. Redmi hasn’t confirmed the date, the specs or the prices, and leaked pricing in particular has a habit of shifting before launch day.
