Google released Android 13 on August 15. Two months and nearly ten days later, Samsung sent the Galaxy S22 family its first One UI 5 update based on Android 13. The Korean company has since updated many devices, including the Galaxy S22 family.
One UI 5’s rollout was the fastest for Samsung Phones. The Korean company has also been impressive in its efforts to cover as many devices as possible. This time, it didn’t just focus on a few flagships but also tried to include all the mid-rangers for 2023. It is determined to improve next year.
Samsung published a post in Korea today explaining how quick it’s been to get One UI 5 out there to as many devices as possible and assuring us that it’s aiming to bring future One UI versions even faster and to more devices at the same time.
Although it’s not a firm promise, we are confident that the company is delivering on its promises. Based on what we’ve seen, software updates have become Samsung’s top priority. In a few short years, it went from being one of the worst Android OEMs in terms of updates to one that is the most respected. It wants to make things even better, which can only mean good news for customers.
Samsung also revealed that the Galaxy A52s 5G, Galaxy A32, and Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be the next to receive One UI 5 with Android 13. The new software will be released to all Galaxy S20 and Note 20 family members by the end of this month.
