Redmi 9 Specifications And Price Appear on E-Retailer Website Ahead of Launch
Redmi 9 has been spotted on the e-retailer Lazada in the Philippines, even before its official launch. The listing spills all the beans about the phone, including its full specifications, pricing, and colour options. According to the listing, the Xiaomi Redmi 9 will have a quad-camera setup at the back, a waterdrop-style notch, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Moreover, the Redmi 9 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, and there’s a massive 5,020mAh battery to keep it running.

The Redmi 9 is listed on Lazada in two configurations – the 3GB + 32GB variant at PHP 6,990 (roughly Rs. 22,940) and the 4GB + 64GB option at PHP 7,490 (approximately Rs. 24,580). The phone is currently on sale on the Lazada website in three colour choices – Gray, Purple, and Green. Interestingly, the 64GB variant in Purple is oddly priced at PHP 9,999 (around Rs. 32,810). It’s worth noting that Xiaomi hasn’t officially announced the phone yet, so take these prices with a pinch of salt.

As referenced, Lazada has leaked the full specifications of the Redmi 9. According to the listing, the dual-SIM Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. It’s expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor with up to 4GB of RAM. The internal storage is listed as 64GB, but the phone is also said to come with a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage expansion.
The Redmi 9 is tipped to have a quad-camera setup at the back, with a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 118-degree field of view, a 5-megapixel macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The phone is expected to offer an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The phone will supposedly have a 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It’s touted to offer 34 hours of call time, 19 hours of video playback, and 171 hours of music playback. The phone is tipped to come with AI Face Unlock alongside the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Finally, the connectivity options include a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port and an infrared sensor.
