Get ready! The first phone with Snapdragon 4-series Gen 2 is arriving next week.

Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset in July, aiming to power affordable 5G smartphones. Xiaomi stepped in quickly, confirming that it would be the first to launch a phone with this new SoC.

Now, we’re just days away from the official reveal. Xiaomi’s Snapdragon 4s Gen 2-powered smartphone will debut on October 16 at the India Mobile Congress 2024. This hints that the device will target the Indian market. While we don’t have the exact details, considering the affordability focus of the chipset, it’s likely to be a Redmi phone, possibly part of the 13 series.

The Redmi 13C is already out in India with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor priced under INR 13,499. The upcoming model could be a variant of that, offering Snapdragon’s latest budget 5G capabilities. We’ll find out soon enough.
