OPPO launched the A6 4G in Pakistan. Pre-orders opened today. The phone’s built around a 7000mAh battery – massive for this price range – and they’re throwing in a two-year warranty instead of the standard one year.

The specs include a Snapdragon 685 processor, 50MP main camera with AI features, and full waterproofing. It’s a 4G phone, not 5G, which probably helped keep costs down.

Battery Goes Two Days

7000mAh is larger than most phones’ packs, even ones costing twice as much. OPPO claims nearly two days of use on a single charge – actual use, not standby time with airplane mode on.

There’s reverse charging. If your earbuds or smartwatch die, plug them into the A6 and charge them from the phone’s battery. Works like a portable power bank.

They built in power management to slow down battery degradation. Cheap phones tend to lose capacity fast. Six months in and you’re charging twice a day. OPPO says this one maintains performance longer.

Snapdragon 685 and ColorOS 15

The processor is Snapdragon’s 685 chipset. It handles multitasking without stuttering through apps. Won’t blow anyone away with benchmark scores, but for switching between social media, messaging, and video calls, it works fine.

ColorOS 15 runs on top of Android. OPPO optimized RAM management so apps don’t constantly reload when you switch between them. That’s one of those annoying things budget phones do – you go back to something, and it starts over from scratch.

They added vapor chamber cooling. Usually, you see that in gaming phones or flagships. Here it stops the A6 from overheating when you’re running demanding apps or gaming for extended periods. Mid-range phones often throttle performance when they get hot. This should help avoid that.

50MP Camera With AI Tools

The main camera is 50MP. It’s got several AI features: AI Eraser removes objects from photos. Someone photobombed your shot? Erase them. There’s a lamp post in the middle of your landscape? Gone.

Dual View Video records from both cameras at once. Front and back simultaneously. If you’re filming something and want your reaction in the same video, both angles get captured.

AI Portrait Retouching does automatic skin smoothing and lighting adjustments. AI Recompose reframes photos if your composition is off-center or awkward. AI Perfect Shot picks the sharpest image when you take burst photos.

The waterproofing is IP66, IP68, and IP69 certified by SGS. You can shoot underwater, use it in heavy rain, and even if high-pressure water hits it. Most phones in this segment don’t offer that level of protection.

Waterproof Design

Those three IP ratings cover dust, water submersion up to certain depths, and high-pressure water jets. Drop it in a sink? Fine. Caught in a downpour? Keeps working. Someone sprays it while washing a car? Still fine.

The body is a unibody construction – one solid piece instead of separate panels. Comes in Aurora Gold and Sapphire Blue. Despite having a 7000mAh battery inside, it’s not ridiculously heavy or awkward to hold.

Display quality looks decent. Colors pop enough for videos and photos. Nothing groundbreaking, but better than washed-out budget screens.

Two Years Instead of One

OPPO is giving a two-year official warranty with the A6 4G. Almost every phone sold in Pakistan comes with one-year standard warranty. Doubling that is rare for mid-range devices.

George Long, CEO of OPPO Pakistan, mentioned they’re trying to bring premium features down to accessible prices. The extended warranty suggests they’re confident about durability. Otherwise, they wouldn’t risk covering repairs for twice as long.

When and How Much

Pre-orders started through OPPO’s official stores and online. Aurora Gold and Sapphire Blue are the color options.

They didn’t announce pricing yet, but based on the specs – Snapdragon 685, big battery, waterproofing, two-year warranty – it’s positioned against Realme’s mid-range lineup, Samsung’s A-series, and Infinix models. Probably somewhere between 40k-60k rupees if we’re guessing.

The A6 4G makes sense for people who need battery life above everything else. Two days between charges matters more than having the fastest processor or best camera. The waterproofing and extended warranty are nice additions. OPPO seems to be betting that reliability and endurance matter more than flashy features at this price point.
