Word’s getting out about Oppo’s next Reno phones from a Chinese leaker on Weibo called Digital Chat Station, who dropped details in late October 2025. Looks like they’re sticking to two models this time—the regular Reno 15 and the Reno 15 Pro. Earlier chatter hinted at a Pro Max to copy Apple’s big-dog naming, but that’s off the table now, keeping things straightforward without a third oversized option.

Plans Shifting Away from Three Phones

Oppo kicked around adding a Reno 15 Pro Max as a fresh top-tier pick, aiming to match trends where brands like Samsung or Vivo stretch lines with Max or Ultra tags. It would’ve made the series feel more like iPhones with base, Pro, and Pro Max steps. But the leak says it’s not happening—maybe cost cuts or avoiding overlap with their Find flagships. Launch could hit China by November 2025, trickling to places like India or Pakistan early 2026. No prices leaked, but figure mid-range territory, say 30k to 50k rupees based on older Renos.

Reno 15 Details

The smaller one packs a 6.32-inch flat screen—straight edges, no curves that slip in hands. Hole-punch up top for the selfie cam, keeping bezels slim. That front shooter? 50 megapixels for detailed self-portraits, sharper than the usual 32MP in this range, handling group shots or low light better.

Frame’s metal for solid feel, back probably glass to look premium without jacking price. IP69 rating means it’s sealed tight against dust (no grains sneaking in) and high-pressure water (think surviving a hose-down or deep dips, tougher than IP68’s basic submersion).

Back cameras line up in three: 200MP main for massive detail in photos—you can crop way in without blur. 50MP ultra-wide grabs broader scenes like rooms or landscapes with less edge warp. 50MP periscope handles zoom without losing quality—optical magnification for far-off stuff, though exact range (like 3x or 5x) isn’t clear yet.

Runs on MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chip, 4nm build for efficient power use—runs cool, lasts longer on battery. Matches Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in speed tests, even edges it in games with steady frames. Battery size not specified, but expect around 5000mAh with wired charging.

Reno 15 Pro Tweaks

Steps up to a 6.78-inch screen, still flat, at 1.5K resolution—about 1260 by 2780 pixels for crisp visuals without overkill power drain. Likely brighter or more color-accurate than the base, maybe with variable refresh to save juice on still images.

Cameras same as the regular: 200MP primary, 50MP wide-angle, 50MP zoom—keeps photo game even across both.

Same Dimensity 8450 under the hood—no upgrade, which keeps them close in performance for apps or multitasking.

Big add: 50W wireless charging—pop it on a pad for quick fills without plugs, something the base skips. Build mirrors the smaller one: metal sides, glass rear, IP69 tough.

Overall, the Pro’s mostly a bigger version with wireless perks—not huge leaps, so pick based on screen size needs.

What This Means Going Forward

Without a Pro Max, Oppo is focusing on a tight duo—good for buyers who hate too many choices. Cameras steal the show with that high-res main and zoom, while the chip holds its own against Qualcomm. Still, no major gaps between models might make the base more appealing for compact fans. Official word should drop soon; leaks like this often shift, but this one’s from a solid source.
