Redmi just confirmed the Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max are coming in January 29 in China. They posted the announcement on Weibo along with a look at the Turbo 5 Max in orange.
Design-wise, both phones get a CNC metal frame with rounded corners, a fiberglass back panel, and dual LED flash. Nothing radical, but the build quality sounds decent for the price segment these usually land in.

The Turbo 5 Max runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chip. The battery is massive—9,000mAh with 100W wired charging. Two colors at launch: Ocean Breeze Blue and Sunrise Orange.
Redmi’s also dropping the Buds 8 Pro and a Harry Potter Edition of the Pad 2 Pro at the same event. Because apparently that’s a thing now.

No word yet on specs for the standard Turbo 5 or pricing for either model. Expect more details as the launch gets closer.
