New leaked images of the Galaxy S26 Ultra hit the internet, and the phone looks completely different from what Samsung’s been doing with the Ultra line. The big story here is a bright orange colorway that’s basically a carbon copy of Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro orange.

Samsung’s Killing the Boxy Design

The Ultra phones have always had this sharp, angular thing going on. Those hard corners and flat edges made them look aggressive and industrial—you either loved it or hated it, but you definitely noticed it. The S24 Ultra, S25 Ultra, all of them had that same design language.

These new leaks? Complete 180. Everything’s rounded now. The corners are soft, the frame curves into the display, and the whole phone looks way friendlier. It’ll feel better in your hand during long use, no question. Those sharp edges could get uncomfortable after a while.

The downside is that the Ultra might lose what made it special. That boxy design was its signature. Now it looks like… I don’t know, pretty much every other flagship phone? Samsung had something distinctive going, and they’re apparently dropping it.

That Orange Though

Three colors show up in these renders. You’ve got your standard dark option (black or gray, probably), and some kind of pale gold that Samsung’s done variations of before.

And then there’s the orange. It’s wild. Looks exactly like the Cosmic Orange Apple just launched with the iPhone 17 Pro. Samsung doesn’t usually do colors like this for the Ultra—these phones come in professional, safe colors. Black, white, gray, maybe a subtle metallic tone. Nothing loud.

If they actually release an orange Ultra, that’s a real shift in thinking. Maybe they’ve decided the Ultra customer base isn’t all corporate types who need a phone that matches their suit.

How Legit Are These?

OnLeaks posted these images, and they’re usually solid with leaks. But there’s a catch—OnLeaks said these are likely AI-generated, not actual prototype photos or physical mockups.

That doesn’t automatically mean they’re garbage. AI renders can be based on real leaked info—CAD files, insider knowledge, whatever. Someone might have legitimate data about Samsung’s plans and just used AI to create visuals. Or this could be someone’s imagination running wild with rumors.

There’s no way to know for sure until Samsung confirms something or shows the real device in January. Take this as a possibility, not a guarantee.

What Else Might Be Coming

The design stuff is flashy, but there are other rumored features that could matter more day-to-day. Samsung’s supposedly working on a display with adjustable privacy settings—basically narrowing the viewing angles through software when you need it. Public place? Turn it on. At home? Leave it off. It’s like those privacy screen protectors but built into the display itself.

One UI 8 will be on board (Android 15 underneath), bringing whatever Samsung decides to add. Qualcomm’s making a special Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 “For Galaxy” chip, which usually means higher clocks and better optimization than the standard version. The phone’s supposed to be thinner than the S25 Ultra, and there’s a redesigned S Pen coming, though we don’t know what that means yet.

January’s Coming Fast

Samsung typically drops its Galaxy S phones in late January or early February. We’re close enough now that leaks will start flooding in—some accurate, some complete nonsense.

These orange renders might be real. They might be half-right. They might be totally made up. That’s the leak game. An orange Galaxy S26 Ultra would be a statement, though. Whether Samsung’s actually going for it is something we’ll find out soon enough.
