Vivo V50 launch date leaks and specs

    From, India

Vivo has just given us a first look at the upcoming V50, revealing its design and key specs. However, there’s still no official word on when the phone will hit the market.

Now, a new rumor suggests that the V50 will launch in India on February 17, with sales starting a week later on February 24. This information allegedly comes from a retail source, but as with all leaks, it’s best to wait for official confirmation. That said, seeing the device listed on Vivo’s website this early does raise some interesting questions about the brand’s launch strategy.

As for what’s confirmed, the Vivo V50 will be available in three colors—Rose Red, Starry Blue, and Titanium Grey. The phone packs a triple 50MP camera setup, featuring a main sensor with OIS, an ultrawide lens, and a front camera with autofocus. This should appeal to those who prioritize photography in their smartphones.

One of the biggest talking points is the battery. The V50 will house a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging. That means long battery life with fast top-ups when needed. The device will also come with an IP68 and IP69 rating, making it resistant to water and dust, something we don’t often see in mid-range phones.

Another highlight is the display. The V50 is set to be the first in the V-series to feature a quad-curved screen. While the exact specifications haven’t been confirmed, it’s expected to be a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.

Under the hood, the phone is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which is the same processor found in the Vivo S20 launched in China last November. It will run Android 15 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 on top, and Vivo has been emphasizing its software optimizations in recent releases.

While we wait for an official launch date, it’s clear that Vivo is pushing hard with the V50, especially in the design, battery, and camera departments. If the rumored pricing is competitive, this could be a solid choice for anyone looking for a stylish, feature-packed smartphone in 2024.
