With only three days left until the Vivo Y300 5G launch in China, some early details have emerged, giving us a clearer picture of what to expect. Thanks to leaks, we now know the preliminary specs and have seen detailed images of the device.
Display and Design
The Vivo Y300 5G comes with a 6.77-inch OLED screen boasting a 1,080 x 2,392 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The display is rated for 1,300 nits brightness, making it well-suited for outdoor use. Vivo has added Diamond Shield glass protection, which should provide extra durability.
The screen features:
An optical fingerprint scanner embedded into the display
An 8MP front camera within a punch-hole cutout
Cameras and Audio
The back of the phone features a 50MP main camera, using a Samsung S5KJNS sensor, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor.
One standout feature is the large speaker integrated into the camera island, developed in collaboration with AAC Technologies. Vivo is introducing a three-way speaker system, which includes top and bottom speakers, with a combined peak power of 4.5W. This should provide an excellent audio experience for a mid-range device.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the Y300 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset. It will offer configurations with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB.
The phone also packs a 6,500mAh battery, which is more than enough for a full day of usage. It supports 44W wired charging, making it quick to top up when needed. The device will run on OriginOS 5 out of the box.
Final Thoughts
The Vivo Y300 5G seems like a well-rounded device with a solid mix of features—great display, decent cameras, robust audio setup, and a large battery. With only a few days to go until its official launch, it’s exciting to see how Vivo plans to price this device. I’ll be watching closely for updates and will share more once the launch takes place.
