Google dropped a fresh button for AI Mode in their Chrome app on November 5, 2025. Hits Android phones and iPhones. Shows up under the search bar when you fire up a new tab. Tap to jump into asking tough questions with parts, then chase with more asks, pulls up links that fit.
One dev I heard from grumbled, “About time—sick of digging through results.” Keeps search handy, nudges folks away from chat apps or video hunts on TikTok.
How AI Mode Works
Type a question with layers, like “Plan a trip to Murree, include costs and spots to eat?” AI chews it, spits answers, lets you prod deeper. Runs on Gemini stuff, Google’s tech. Started desktop last month, mobile now catches up.
US rollout first. Spreads to 160 spots soon—Pakistan should get it quick. Languages pile on: Hindi if you’re in India, Indonesian, Japanese for east Asia, Korean, Portuguese down south, extras brewing.
Google’s Push Behind It
Aims to jazz search. Kids hunt on social; Google fights back with smart replies. Chrome’s huge crowd sees the button every tab open—can’t miss.
Quiet launch, blog mention only. App updates itself—look for version 130 up.
Simple change, but shifts how we grab info. You tried it yet?
