Vivo put out the regular Y500 in China already. It’s on sale there now. The Pro version stayed hidden until recent leaks. Most early info focused on cameras. Company teasers in China finally show more. Launch set for November 10, 2025. I checked the China Telecom site myself—listings spill specs before official drops sometimes.

Look and Cameras

Phone matches the basic Y500 design. Black circle at top center holds cameras. Middle crater likely fits two lenses. One’s a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor—pulls in tons of light for sharp shots, even zoomed. Other might be 2-megapixel depth sensor—measures distances for blurry backgrounds in portraits, not for main pics. Front camera’s 32 megapixels through screen hole—grabs clear selfies, handles video calls without fuzz in good light.

Ever seen a phone camera setup that screams “pro” but keeps it simple? This one does.

Battery Size

Battery’s 7000 milliamp-hours, silicon-carbon type—holds more energy than old lithium, charges steady without swelling much. Smaller than basic Y500’s, but enough for daily use like calls, web, videos without midday plugs. Weighs 189 grams total—light for big battery. Thickness 7.81 millimeters—slim fit in pocket. Charges at 90 watts—fills quick, half in 20 minutes or so.

Display Info

Screen’s 6.67 inches AMOLED—lights pixels separate for true black, saves power on dark modes. Borders thin, bezels even all around—no thick chin. Resolution 1.5K, about 1220 by 2700 pixels—sharp texts, smooth videos. 120 hertz refresh—updates fast for no lag scrolls. No brightness details listed yet—probably hits 1000 nits or more outdoors, but wait for tests.

Inside Parts

Dimensity 7400 chip from MediaTek runs it—mid-range processor, handles apps and games without overheating much. At least 12 gigabytes RAM for multitasking. Storage choices 256 or 512 gigabytes—room for photos, apps. Starts with Origin OS 6 on Android 16—Vivo’s skin adds custom tools like split screen, better than stock Android for some.

IP68 and IP69 ratings—survives dust, water dips up to 1.5 meters 30 minutes, or high-pressure sprays. Tough for daily mishaps.

No price out yet. Full story when it launches—watch for updates. “This could change how we see budget pros,” one teaser hinted in a video clip.
