Samsung is bringing Galaxy Unpacked to London this Wednesday, 22 July, and that alone is worth a line, because this is the first summer Unpacked the company has ever staged in the UK capital. The show starts at 2:00 PM BST, and if you are watching from elsewhere that is 9:00 AM EDT, 6:00 AM PT, 3:00 PM CEST and 6:30 PM IST.

Watching it is simple. The livestream runs simultaneously on Samsung.com, the Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s official YouTube channel, and you can watch the keynote through the embedded stream below.
A new shape unfolds, and Samsung is not being subtle about what it means
The teaser slogan is “A new shape unfolds”, and the invitation itself is shaped like a hint. The headline act is expected to be the redesigned Galaxy Z Fold 8, shorter and wider than any Fold before it, closer to a passport than a TV remote. The leaks are pointing at a 7.6 inch inner screen in a 4:3 ratio, Samsung’s new Flex Titanium display tech to calm the crease down, a 4,800mAh battery with 45W charging, and a weight around 201g, which is ordinary slab phone territory. This is the device meant to answer Huawei’s Pura X Max and whatever Apple’s rumoured wide foldable turns out to be.
Alongside it, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to carry on the classic book style as the Fold 7’s true successor, with the Galaxy Z Flip 8 keeping the clamshell crowd happy. The wearables side brings the Galaxy Watch 9 lineup and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and the persistent whisper of Samsung’s first AI glasses refuses to die, so watch for a surprise near the end.
One money tip before Wednesday. Pre orders are expected to open the same day, with sales around Friday 7 August, and trade in values for the Fold 7 and Flip 7 usually drop the day after Unpacked. So if you are planning to trade in, lock the valuation before the keynote, not after. Waiting costs you nothing, mistiming it costs you real money.
