Infinix has a launch date locked in. The Hot 70 series goes official on May 25, and the teasers the company’s been putting out make it pretty clear this one isn’t going for the understated look.
The back panel changes color with heat contact — that’s the headline feature, paired with an RGB halo lighting ring around the rear camera module. Whether that sounds like a gimmick or actually useful probably depends on how old you are, but Infinix’s budget audience tends to respond well to this stuff, and the Hot series has always leaned into bold design choices. Green and orange are both in the color lineup, which tracks.
Camera placement follows the pill-shaped vertical layout from the outgoing models, so the overall silhouette isn’t dramatically different. The heat-reactive panel and lighting are doing the heavy lifting design-wise.
On the hardware side, a Google Play Console listing for the base Hot 70 pointed to the MediaTek Helio G99 with 4GB RAM. That’s a solid chip for the price bracket — Infinix has used it well before. The FCC filing added another detail: two variants shipping with different battery capacities, though exact numbers haven’t been confirmed yet.

The Hot 70 Pro, meanwhile, turned up on Carlcare Indonesia’s website, which locked in 5G support for at least that model.
How many variants make up the full lineup is still open. Last year’s Hot 60 series ran four models. Whether Infinix matches that this time around, May 25 isn’t far off.
