Three Xiaomi launches, one calendar, and a fair bit of waiting if you want the expensive one. Tipster Abhishek Yadav has laid out what’s coming to India for the rest of 2026, and the schedule is front-loaded with cheap phones.

September 5 is the first date. That’s the Redmi 17 series, arriving in both 4G and 5G flavours. Same body, different brains: the 5G runs a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, the 4G makes do with MediaTek’s Helio G91-Ultra. Everything else is shared, and the battery is the headline, 7,500mAh with 45W charging and 22.5W reverse wired, plus a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD at 120Hz and a 50MP dual camera round the back. Budget phone, big tank. That’s the pitch.

September 18 or 20, the tipster isn’t sure which, brings the Redmi Note 17 Pro series. The regular Note 17 is already on shelves here at around Rs 24,999, so the Pro is the step up: a 6.83-inch AMOLED at 144Hz, 9,000mAh, 67W charging, a 200MP main camera and IP68 rating, going by current leaks. Two weeks apart from the Redmi 17, which is a tight run for Xiaomi’s own two lineups.

Then a long gap. December for the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, and note what’s missing from that sentence, there’s no mention of the vanilla Xiaomi 18. Yogesh Brar had earlier pegged December too but with the base model included, so the lineup is still unsettled. What’s clear is that the Pro is coming at all, which it didn’t last year, the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max both stayed locked inside China while India got the 17 and 17 Ultra.

Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed a single one of these dates. Still, if you’re shopping in the budget tier, waiting three weeks is cheap insurance.
