Tecno is adding a fourth phone to its Spark 50 range in India, and the date has been set for tomorrow. The Spark 50s 5G launches on October 16, joining the Spark 50 4G, the Spark 50 5G and the Spark 50 Pro that are already on sale there.
Tecno India started the teaser run this week with pictures of the phone from the back, which is where most of what we know so far comes from.

It Looks Almost The Same As The Spark 50 5G
The rear of the Spark 50s 5G is close to identical to the Spark 50 5G, with the same wide camera visor running across the top. That visor was the reason people kept comparing the Spark 50 5G to a Pixel when it launched in March. Judging by the teaser, there’s a single camera sensor inside it again, alongside the flash.
Two colours have been shown, blue and red. The Spark 50 5G came in four, so either Tecno is keeping this one simpler or more shades will turn up closer to launch.
What The Spark 50 5G Already Offers

Tecno hasn’t put out a single spec for the 50s yet. The phone it’s copying the design from gives a fair idea of where it might sit, though nobody should treat these numbers as confirmed for the new model:
- MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip with up to 6GB of RAM
- 6.78-inch 120Hz display at HD+ resolution
- 50MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera
- 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging
- IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H drop certification
The Spark 50 5G started at ₹16,999 for 4GB/128GB, roughly $180, and went up to ₹18,999 for 6GB/128GB, around $200. An “s” model in Tecno’s naming usually lands close to that bracket, so expect the 50s to be priced as a budget 5G phone rather than anything above it.
Specs And Price Should Come Out Within A Day
With the launch this close, Tecno will most likely share the chip, battery and price on the day itself. Whether the 50s changes anything inside or is mainly a new colour and finish on the same hardware is the one thing the teasers haven’t answered yet.
