Vivo Y400 Coming soon in Pakistan with Big Battery, and Budget-Friendly Specs

Get set for a tough new budget phone hitting Pakistan soon. Vivo’s rolling out the Y400 4G, packing an IP69 rating that makes it stand up to dust and high-pressure hot water jets like a champ. It looks a lot like the higher-end V50 Lite 4G, but skips on faster charging and a better front camera to keep costs down. Word is it’ll go official any day now, maybe in the coming week, so here’s the full scoop on what to expect from the Vivo Y400 4G based on the latest leaks and specs sheets.

This thing punches above its weight in toughness for the price. That IP69 seal means it’s fully dust-proof—no sand or dirt sneaking in if you’re at the beach, out in a storm, or on a job site. For water, it handles high-temperature jets up to 80°C without a hitch, and tests show it can take submersion up to 1.5 meters for half an hour, though official ratings focus more on pressure resistance. Plus, it’s got MIL-STD-810H compliance for drops, shocks, and extreme conditions, so it won’t quit on you easy. If you like snapping pics underwater or in the rain, the wet-touch screen tech keeps controls responsive even with wet fingers. No more fumbling around.

On the screen side, it’s got a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED panel that’s sharp at 1080×2400 resolution—full HD+ for clear videos and scrolling. The 120Hz refresh rate smooths out everything from games to feeds, and it covers 100% DCI-P3 colors for vibrant pics. Brightness peaks at 1800 nits, so it stays visible outdoors under bright sun without washing out. No curved edges here like on pricier models; it’s straightforward and easy to grip.

Power comes from a Snapdragon 685 chip, keeping it 4G-only but solid for daily stuff. Built on a 6nm process, it’s got eight cores topping out at 2.8GHz for quick app loading and multitasking. The Adreno 610 graphics handle light games okay, but don’t expect top performance in heavy titles—it’ll lag on high settings or drop frames. Pair it with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage (expandable), and it’s fine for browsing, social media, and basic edits, but gamers might want something beefier.

Cameras keep it simple but useful. The main 50MP sensor (Sony IMX582 from leaks, though some say IMX852—either way, it’s a solid 1/2.76″ size for decent low-light shots) sits in a big island bump, paired with a 2MP depth lens for portrait blur effects. No solo tricks from the secondary, but it helps with focus and bokeh. Front-facing is an 8MP punch-hole for selfies and calls—nothing fancy, but clear enough. Software tweaks with AI tools sharpen up images, fix colors, and add effects right in the app.

It runs Android 15 skinned with Funtouch OS 15 out of the box, which throws in extras like customizable themes, better privacy controls, and those photo AI boosts. At just 7.9mm thick and around 196g, it feels slim despite cramming a huge 6000mAh battery that lasts a full day or more on mixed use. Charging hits 44W wired, so you’re back to full in under an hour—no wireless here, but that’s expected at this level.

Vivo Y400 colors

Compared to the upcoming Vivo Y300, which looks even cheaper with similar basics but maybe toned-down specs for budget hunters, the Y400 strikes a good balance of tough build and everyday features. It comes in Dynamic Green and Pearl White shades, with prices expected around Rs. 68,999 to 78,999 depending on storage—check local shops or Vivo’s site for exacts once it drops. If you’re after a phone that survives rough handling without breaking the bank, this could be it. Watch for official word on dates and deals; stores like WhatMobile or PinPack will have stock soon after launch. If it misses on 5G or gaming power, look at the Y400 Pro 5G variant for upgrades, but that’ll cost more. Overall, solid pick for folks needing reliability over flash.
