OnePlus has officially announced that its next flagship, the OnePlus 13, will debut internationally in January 2025. While the exact date hasn’t been shared yet, the timing could be interesting as it might overlap with Samsung’s rumored Galaxy Unpacked event, which is also expected in January.
The OnePlus 13 will be available globally in all three colors, including the eye-catching leather blue variant. It’s shaping into a true premium flagship with some impressive features. It comes with a large 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display, runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and packs a massive 6,000 mAh battery. On the back, you’ll find a trio of 50 MP Hasselblad-branded cameras, promising solid photography performance. It will also debut with OxygenOS 15, built on Android 15, which should bring a fresh software experience.
There’s also talk about the OnePlus 13R launching at the same event. This model is essentially the international version of the unreleased OnePlus Ace 5. It’s a slightly less powerful but still capable phone, expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a strong single main camera, and a more affordable price tag.
It’s going to be exciting to see how OnePlus positions these devices in the market, especially with so much competition in the premium and mid-range segments. January 2025 is shaping up to be a busy month for smartphone launches.
