The much-anticipated Nothing Phone (3) may still be a few months away from its official debut. The company’s last flagship release was the Nothing Phone (2), which launched in 2023. While Nothing has since launched the midrange Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro models, there has been growing anticipation for the flagship Phone (3).

Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, recently clarified the launch timeline during a live Ask Me Anything session on X. Nothing Phone (3) will launch between July and October this year, says Pei. Given that the Nothing Phone (2) was also introduced in July 2023, it is reasonable to expect the Phone (3) to follow a similar schedule.
The timing of the Nothing Phone (3) launch places it alongside key releases from major competitors. Samsung’s next Galaxy Z series, Google’s Pixel 10 lineup, and Apple’s iPhone 17 series are all expected to launch around the same time. The question remains whether Nothing’s upcoming device will be able to compete with these established players in the flagship market.

While specific details about the Nothing Phone (3) are still under wraps, leaks have provided insight into the company’s ambitions. A leaked email from Carl Pei earlier this year revealed that the Phone (3) will focus heavily on AI utility. While Nothing has always emphasized design and hardware, it appears that stepping up its AI features will be crucial if it hopes to compete with industry giants like Samsung, Google, and Apple.

We got an early look at Nothing’s AI features with the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro, and it’s expected that many of these features will carry over to the Phone (3). While the flagship model remains months away, the Nothing Phone (2) is set to make its official debut in Pakistan on April 21. This will be the company’s first official product in the country, with an event hosted by Jazz in Islamabad to mark its arrival.
