It looks like the Apple iPhone SE 4 launch is happening sooner than expected. According to Mark Gurman, Apple is gearing up to release the device in just a few days, aiming to start 2025 with a new iPhone launch. While there’s no official confirmation, the growing number of reports suggests it could be right around the corner.

Based on how things are shaping up, Apple might not hold a major event for this launch. Instead, the company could simply announce the iPhone SE 4 via a press release. Gurman’s track record with Apple leaks is solid, so his claim is gaining a lot of attention. If the reports are accurate, the phone might be available for purchase by the end of the month, and the expected price is around $499, though that’s not yet confirmed.

Another clue pointing to an imminent release is the short supply of iPhone SE 3 (2022) units at Apple stores, signaling that a replacement is on the way. Several leaks have also given us an idea of what to expect from the new model.

One of the biggest changes could be Apple’s in-house 5G modem, which means the company is moving away from Qualcomm’s components. If this rollout is successful, Apple may transition all future devices to its own modems.

From what we’ve seen in leaks, the iPhone SE 4 might resemble the iPhone 14, featuring a 6.1-inch XDR Super Retina OLED display—a big upgrade from the previous IPS LCD screens. It’s also rumored to have a 48 MP single rear camera, the Apple A18 chip, and Apple Intelligence features. Additionally, USB-C might finally replace the Lightning port to comply with EU regulations.

As of now, all of this remains speculation until Apple confirms the details. But if Gurman’s timeline is correct, we won’t have to wait much longer to see how this unfolds. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates as the story develops.
