Honor just scheduled two big events in China over the coming weeks. First up, on October 23, they’ll introduce MagicOS 9.0, their take on Android 15. This new interface will initially roll out with the Honor Magic7 flagship lineup, set to launch a week later on October 30.
The big updates for MagicOS 9.0 include several AI-powered features, particularly an “AI Agent”—a personal assistant designed to rival Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini. Honor showcased this at IFA 2024, where we saw a quick demo on the Magic7, complete with a preview of the phone’s oval-shaped punch hole for the selfie camera.
For the Magic7’s performance, rumors suggest we’ll see it powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, though there’s also speculation that the standard model might use the Dimensity 9400 platform instead. With more than two weeks to go before the official launch, we’re sure to get more details on these phones’ specs and features.
