The 16 Pro line released by Realme in India on January 6, and the company has been leaking details throughout the previous week. We now can have a rather complete image of what the Pro model will provide.
The camera setup
Both the 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ get a 200MP main sensor. That’s a significant jump from the 50MP shooter on last year’s Realme 15 Pro. The Pro+ pulls ahead with a periscope telephoto offering 3.5x optical zoom – useful if you regularly crop into shots or shoot subjects from a distance without wanting to physically move closer.
What’s under the hood
The 16 Pro uses MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G. Realme boasts of AnTuTu score above 970,000, which places it squarely in the flagship-killer category. In perspective, that was approximately the place of phones that were priced 40,000 and above a year back.
Cooling comes via an AirFlow VC system, which should help maintain performance during extended gaming sessions or heavy camera use – situations where cheaper phones typically throttle.
Battery and display
A 7,000mAh cell is massive by any standard. Combined with the efficient 4nm process on that Dimensity chip, you’re looking at genuine two-day battery life for moderate users.
The 1.5K AMOLED panel pushes a 144Hz refresh rate and peaks at 6,500 nits. That brightness figure matters for outdoor visibility – most phones in this segment top out around 2,000-3,000 nits.
Software
The phone ships with Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 straight out of the box. AI features include Recording transcription, Framing assistance for photos, and Google Gemini integration.
Durability and colors
IP69 rating means it’ll handle high-pressure water jets and steam – a step beyond the IP68 you typically see. Color options are Master Gold, Pebble Gray, and Orchid Purple.
There has not been any price remedies established yet, although the Realme 15 Pro is currently priced at around 30,000-32,000, one can anticipate the Realme 16 Pro to be priced at around that range or even a little above that range.
