Exynos 2600 is now official from Samsung. It had been toying with it a little, but we finally have all the information concerning their most recent flagship mobile processor. The major point here is that it is based on Samsung Foundry’s 2nm GAA process, becoming the first smartphone chip to reach the 2nm mark. The device has a 10-core processor powered by an ARM v9.3 architecture, and Samsung has included a feature termed Heat Path Block (HPB) technology to ensure that the temperatures are controlled.

What’s inside the Exynos 2600

The CPU setup is interesting. You have got one prime core, three high-performance cores, and six efficiency cores – not your usual setup. The highest rated core is the prime C1-Ultra, which is 3.8GHz, three cores are C1 Pro and are rated at 3.25GHz, whereas the other six cores are C1 Pro and can run at 2.75GHz.According to Samsung, you are making a 39 times performance increase over the Exynos 2500, and it is also said to be more power-efficient. That is quite a leap, as long as the numbers in the real world support it. The artificial intelligence side received a significant boost. The new NPU (neural processing unit, in case one isn’t sure) yields 113% higher performance of AI compared to the former chip . Samsung also added extra security in the form of virtualization capabilities and hardware-enhanced hybrid post-quantum cryptography – a kind of future-proofing against the much-hyped quantum computers, which will one day crack the encryption used today.

Gaming and graphics

In the case of gaming, Samsung included the Xclipse 960 GPU. They boast 50 times higher ray tracing and twice as many compute units as the Exynos 2500. Bend tracking is still a fairly young concept in the mobile world and, as such, any advances thereof are welcome. The image processing also received some attention. It has a new AI-driven Visual Perception System, which is supposed to be more accurate on what you are actually shooting. It supports camera sensors up to 320MP (though nobody is currently installing them on phones), and it has deep-learning-based video-noise reduction in times of low-light shooting. The latter might actually be a difference-maker – phones tend to have a low-light video that is typically very coarse.

The heat management thing

Their Heat Path Block technology is a big deal being made by Samsung. It incorporates High-k EMC material, where the heat is pushed out of the chip better, and this should enable the chip to remain functional when you are gaming or doing other activities requiring a lot of power over a long period. The throttling has been a problem with prior Exynos chips, and this may matter. Other specifications that are worth noting include LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.1 storage, and can also drive 4K displays at a rate of 120Hz.

Where is it really going to appear?

When the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are launched, Samsung is expected to use the Exynos 2600. However, there is confusion in the markets about which will actually receive it. One report indicates that it will be applied worldwide, whereas a more recent assertion indicates that Samsung may only expand it to Korea. This dance and song we have heard many times over with Exynos chips – Samsung tends to alternate between Exynos and Snapdragon per geographical location, and it is never completely evident what the company plans to do until the phones are actually released.
